I’m not sure how, but apparently “Cracked.com”, a national humor website with over 300 million monthly page views, got a hold of a picture of me blessing a home and photo-shopped an image of Casper the friendly ghost escaping in fear! Let it serve as a reminder to get your home blessed this year.

Now that we have had the Blessing of the Water services it's time once again for House Blessing season. Feel free to communicate with me directly (texting is my favorite) to set up a time.

How to Prepare for a House Blessing

Please supply

1. a bowl (cereal size preferably)
   
2. a candle
3. an icon
4. a list of all family members, living and deceased.

The bowl and icon should be placed on a table with a cloth on it, preferably near the family icon corner. It is good for candles to be lit. If you happen to have a hand censor that would be wonderful.

I would also ask you to have all radios and televisions turned off.

In homes with children, it is always good for the little ones to carry a candle or a small cross and "lead" the priest throughout the house. An elder member of the house may also do this. One industrious young child furnished me with a map of her house so I could navigate more easily!!!

Also make sure your pets are secured if they are ‘active’ shall we say!
